I have a chocolate labrador retriever that was put on a strict diet a couple of months ago. All she eats is a bowl of Fit and Trim each day. I noticed that her hair is thinning. I can see her skin through her fur. Could this be a vitamin deficiency of some sort? Or related to the Fit and Trim?

My dog's hair is thinning (with black hair you can see his skin) and he seems to be a bit overweight. I have asked my veternarian but she said not too worry. He has almost no hair left on his stomach. Could this be the result of hypothyroid?

My 9 year old Lahsa Apso was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is taking medication two times a day. Will this shorten her life? Her symptoms were hair loss and unexplained weight gain. She is not scratching but I notice some areas of her skin are grayish colored and rough feeling. Will she get better in time, or worse?
